UCSD Golf Recreation Classes

UCSD Recreational Golf Instruction Class

An inexpensive entry-level exposure to golf. Classes are held four times a year, in Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. They consist of 8 1-hour sessions on consecutive weeks at either 8 AM or 9 AM on Saturday mornings. Range balls are included in the price. I present a piece of information to the group to start each class and then spend several minutes with each person individually. All aspects of the game are covered, including full swing, short game, woods, and putting. Classes are held at the Sorrento Canyon golf range. Minimal cost is a way for me to provide high-level instruction to those who truly cannot afford anything else, as well as a way for UCSD to expose their students to someone who coached their golf team for 34 years and is in the College Golf Coaches Hall of Fame. UCSD Recreation Class Pricing

Pricing varies as to whether you are an undergraduate student, graduate student, employee, or a Rec-card holder (general public), but generally something between $50 and $75 for the eight-week class. All sign-ups must be done through the recreation department at UCSD and may be done online. The class is very popular and fills up so quickly it is truly difficult to get in, so finding the correct date and time to sign up is imperative.
